Program Summary
The Bishop Miege swim & dive program has a proud tradition of excellence in and out of the pool. With a legacy that includes 48 All-Americans and 22 Academic All-Americans, the program has developed elite student-athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level, with over 60 swimmers earning swim scholarships.
Since 2014, the boys and girls programs have broken 11 state records across 22 events, with five records still standing as of 2025. The girls program reached a pinnacle of success in 2017, capturing a State Championship and solidifying its place among Kansas’ top programs.

Caroline Kelter
Caroline has been involved in competitive swimming for over 22 years. She swam at a high level through high school before enlisting in the U.S. Navy, where she trained as an Aviation Rescue Swimmer. After leaving the military, she began coaching age-group and open-water swimmers under U.S. Olympic coach Jack Roach in Virginia Beach, VA. In 2019, she returned to Olathe and continued coaching local teams. She is now coaching her third season at Bishop Miege.
Caroline’s coaching philosophy combines her military developed discipline with a strong emphasis on science based-techniques to maximize athletic efficiency and enable precise, individualized adjustments. This approach gives each athlete the best opportunity to reach their full potential in and out of the pool. Outside of coaching, Caroline works in her family’s manufacturing business and balances life with her husband Michael and their four children.
