Program Summary
The Bishop Miege boys basketball program is a perennial powerhouse, winning seven state championships and fostering a tradition of excellence. Led by dedicated coaches, the program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and a strong work ethic to prepare athletes for success on and off the court.
With strong community support from students, parents, and alumni, miege basketball instills pride and tradition. Committed to both athletic and academic growth, the program develops well-rounded student-athletes ready for the next level. Whether on the court or in the classroom, the program strives to instill values of integrity, perseverance, and respect in all its participants.

Jacob Derritt
Known for his dedication to developing young athletes and his strategic expertise on the court, Coach Jacob Derritt brings his almost two decades of experience as a coach to the boys basketball program. He has coached at several esteemed programs, including Pembroke Hill, St. Thomas Aquinas, Summit Christian, and William Chrisman, and was instrumental in launching the KiPP Academy high school basketball program. Beyond high school coaching, he has played a key role in grassroots basketball, working with top AAU programs like MoKan Elite and Michael Porter Jr. Elite. With his extensive experience, combined with his passion for the game and commitment to his players, Coach Derritt continues to build competitive teams while fostering a positive environment for athletes to thrive.
