Program Summary
Bishop Miege swim & dive holds the distinction of producing 48 All-Americans and 22 Academic All-Americans, with over 60 swimmers continuing their careers at the collegiate level on swim scholarships. Since 2014, the boys and girls programs have broken 11 state records across 22 events, with five records still standing as of 2025. In addition, the boys program also won a State Championship in 2014.
Notably, Max and Lex Hernandez-Nietling, standout Miege alumni, were members of the Mexico Olympic Team and earned All-American honors all four years during their time at Bishop Miege. Committed to fostering both athletic and academic achievement, Miege swim & dive continues to build a culture of dedication, teamwork, and excellence.

Dennis Mueller
Coach Dennis Mueller helped establish the boys swim team 30 years ago and became the girls head coach three years later. He graduated from Missouri State University with a BFA in Graphic Arts and competed in both swimming and baseball. Missouri State honored him as a Distinguished Athletic Alumni for his contributions to the sport. Coach Mueller is assisted by Caroline Kelter, who trained under his guidance since the age of 9.
