Celebrating Tradition with a Legacy Family

“The red carpet event captures the essence of what makes Bishop Miege distinctive as students embark on their journey for their first day of school. It’s not just about academics or athletics, though those are excellent, but also a visible expression of the school’s commitment to ensuring that every student is seen, valued, and encouraged from the very beginning of their journey.”

As a legacy family at Bishop Miege High School, the experience of bringing our freshman (Nina) to the red carpet event was both meaningful and memorable. Watching her walk the red carpet, as parents, reminded us how fast these next four years will pass, as our oldest daughter (Alli, Class of 2025) was met with the same enthusiasm and the strong traditions that continue to define the school.

Watching Nina step onto the red carpet — welcomed with cheers, celebration, and genuine joy — was a powerful symbol of the community our family has cherished for generations.

A tradition that sets the tone

This welcome reflects the heart of Miege: a faith-filled environment where students are supported academically, spiritually, and personally

What it means to be a legacy family

As alumni, we know the strength of the education, the dedication of the faculty, and the bonds of friendship that extend far beyond graduation. As parents, we take comfort in knowing our child is entering a community that nurtures growth, encourages service, and develops leadership rooted in Catholic values.

What we love most about Bishop Miege is that it is more than just a school — it is a family. To see our child embraced so warmly as a new member of that family was both reassuring and inspiring, and it reaffirmed our pride in continuing the Bishop Miege tradition within our own.

Generational bonds through faith and learning

Words of advice: Get involved early. Go to the games. Be inclusive and expand your friendships. And take advantage of the great resources that Bishop Miege provides!
