With one of the most extensive dual enrollment programs in the metro area, students have access to a variety of college-level courses, allowing them to explore their academic interests before graduation.
Average Enrollees Earn 20-40 Credits
Students enrolled in dual enrollment often earn between 20-40 hours, and some even graduate with as many as 60 — the equivalent of one to two years of college in high school. Our students are set up to succeed.

Dual Enrollment
Bishop Miege students may participate in dual enrollment (the College Now program) by attending approved classes at Miege for which college credit may be obtained through Johnson County Community College and/or Benedictine College.
Benedictine College registration is handled at Miege through our business office; JCCC enrollment and payment are completed at www.jccc.edu. Fees range from $100-$150/credit hour.

Advanced Placement
Bishop Miege students may earn college credit by taking Advanced Placement classes at Miege and taking the AP exams in May. Advanced Placement credits are widely accepted, but colleges and college departments vary considerably on score requirements and credit awarded. Check with your specific college for details. Miege students have taken AP exams and successfully earned college credits across disciplines.

Since 1985, Bishop Miege has offered college credits through JCCC — one of just eight founding schools. Over the past 40 years, we’ve expanded those offerings to include options at Benedictine.
