NAMED FUNDS
The named fund portion of the Bridge to the Future offers a meaningful way to provide the gift of a Catholic education. Whether given as a way to say "thank you" to an instrumental teacher or in memory of a loved one, each gift becomes part of a lasting legacy, opening doors for future Stags and strengthening the mission of Catholic education for generations to come.
These legacy gifts become part of a permanent endowment held by the Bishop Miege Foundation, ensuring that the gift continues to bear fruit for decades to come. There are three categories of named funds: Memorials, created in memory of someone who has passed; Family, initiated with the intention to grow and build lasting support; and Tribute, which honor or recognize an individual’s life, service, or influence. Start a named fund or make a gift today to help shape the future.
Named funds may be established with any amount and remain open to future contributions. Once a fund reaches $50,000, a scholarship may be awarded if desired to a qualified student based on financial need.
Scholarships are distributed at 4% of the total fund value, with $50,000 generating a $2,000 award, $100,000 generating $4,000, and so on. This ensures that each contribution has a lasting and measurable impact on students seeking a Catholic education at Bishop Miege.
