This year our Christmas Project will look a little different.
In the past, each Herd has adopted a family and students have donated items to provide Christmas gifts for the family. This year, instead of selecting gifts for an individual family, we have been asked to help increase the donations for their Holiday Shop.
Previously families made their way through the Holiday Shop to select one item from each category, but this year, they would like for them to be able to select one item per person in the household. This will help to alleviate the inequity whereby large families may receive fewer gifts than small families.
Each of our Herds is going to be responsible for some specific items for the Holiday Shop – be sure to shop Black Friday deals:
Bohaty: Housewares I (pots, pans, mixing bowls, baking utensils)
Lucas: Housewares I (pots, pans, mixing bowls, baking utensils)
Martina: Housewares II (dish sets, drinking glasses, utensils)
Millie: Housewares II (dish sets, drinking glasses, utensils)
Perrini: Toys and art supplies
Reardon: Toys and art supplies
Rost: Sheets, pillows, and towels
Tylicki: Sheets, pillows, and towels
**Other organizations have been asked to donate items such as coats, blankets and personal hygiene products.
Note: Please shop/donate NEW items for our Herd Christmas Project. All items need to be brought to their Faith Families by Thursday, December 4th.
Miege students will also have the opportunity to volunteer at the Holiday Shop to see first-hand how impactful their donations are for these families. More information will follow.
