Find Your Passion with the Student Opportunities at Miege
At Bishop Miege Catholic High School, student opportunities look different for everyone, and that’s the point.
Connor Droege, Class of 2028, has taken full advantage of the opportunity to shape his own experience at Miege. When he arrived as a freshman from St. Elizabeth’s in Missouri, he quickly found a community where he belonged.
Involved in a wide range of activities from robotics and debate to the arts and Campus Ministry, he has built meaningful friendships with his peers and strong connections with faculty and staff along the way. Through his time in high school, Connor has explored multiple interests and discovered how each experience contributes to something bigger.

One School. Endless Ways to Be You.
No matter what you are interested in, there is a Miege for you. For example, maybe your thing is sports. Don’t worry, there’s a Miege just for you, where you can play football, basketball, and baseball all in the same year if you are really feeling ambitious. You can play every sport you can, and it just so happens that a grand majority of them are State Champions too. I look forward to seeing you bring home yet another title for the Stags.
But maybe big helmets and cleats stifle your creativity too much. Never fear, you can fill your Miege with any number of our award-winning arts programs, from choir and theatre, to band and drumline, journalism, and art classes. We have amazing teachers in this department ready to help you grow your talents, and an incredible community ready to cheer you on whether you perform on stage or publish your work.
Maybe that’s too abstract for you, though. If you prefer something more concrete, try a Miege with engineering at its core, whether it be programming robots, to building rockets or bridges, we have everything you need to make your ideas into reality. Even better yet, our brand new Project Studio has all the tools you need to help you do that.
But maybe you are really itching to bring Miege outside of the classroom. Lucky for you, our Campus Ministry team is ready to give you student opportunities to do service right here in Kansas City. If you are wanting to be a little bit more broad in your outreach, however, try one or all of our many mission trips, where you can go to Topeka, West Virginia, or even Washington, D.C. to serve others and make plenty of friends and memories along the way. If you don’t fit into any of these categories, though, mix it up! Try a combination of these and truly make your Miege.

“My Miege is one filled with debate, robotics, choir, AP classes, architecture programs, and a little bit of volunteering on the side. Yes, my life is as crazy as it sounds. But it also has given me opportunities I would never have had otherwise, and I am so glad I took them.”
Whatever Miege Path You Choose, Faith is at the Core
No matter what Miege you find here, faith will always be at its core. Every single faculty member at Bishop Miege is here to help you grow in your faith. From visiting the chapel, to quick prayers before class, to Adoration and Mass as a school, Miege has helped me grow my faith in more ways than I can explain. I know I have become a much better person and Catholic because of the powerful experiences and examples of faith that Miege has shown me.
To sum everything up, my message for you is this: Get involved. Try new things. Miege gives you so many student opportunities that aren’t offered anywhere else, so take advantage of it. Find your Miege, and I promise it will open doors you never knew existed.
